Artist Alyssa A. Wildridge was only 10 years old when she created illustrations for Bun E. Learns to Count in French / Bun E. apprend à compter, several of which were done at the public library near her home.
Now 12 years old, Miss Wildridge is a good student, in EXCEL classes at her school. Not surprisingly, her favorite subject is art; she especially loves to draw cats. Her own kitty, Starlette, served as model for the cat illustrating the number "4" in the book.
She loved working on this book with her aunt to help children learn French, and hopes to visit France one day.
